Start your day with a pickup from your city hotel, and travel to Reykjavik Old Harbour to board your whale watching boat. Cruise out into Faxaflói Bay, away from the shoreline, and look out for the whales and seabirds for which Iceland is famous. The bay is one of the best places to see Iceland’s marine life, and minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbor porpoises are just a few of the creatures you may be lucky enough to see.

After roughly three hours, return to shore and swap your mode of transport to a coach for your afternoon Golden Circle tour. Listen as your guide talks about the route that loops into the heart of Iceland, and learn about the historical sights and natural phenomena ahead of you.

Your first stop is Thingvellir National Park, the area where Iceland’s first parliament was formed back in the first century. Take a walk around and gaze out over the rugged terrain as your guide gives the lowdown on the site’s history.

From Thingvellir, continue to the waterfall of Gullfoss, known for its double cascades, and enjoy the spray of glacial water on your face as you stroll around the falls. Unfortunately we did not see any whales and the sea was very choppy causing a lot of people to be sick. We did however see dolphins which was lovely and some birds. With all the swell and bags going everywhere I lost my drivers license but got an email saying they will post it to me. Great service!

Golden Circle tour was incredible. Gulfoss Falls were the most beautiful I have ever seen. The whale watching was not successful. Only saw a few dolphin. Enjoyed the boat ride!

We had a great time on this trip! We saw numerous minke whales during the boat trip. The bus is very well appointed and even has a USB charging port for every two seats to keep your phone charged I use mine as my camera. The 3 locations waterfall, geyser, national park were each excellent and we were able to get a full lunch at the waterfall location. Overall a few good tour and well worth the money. We were only in Iceland for 48 hours and this tour was a great way to see a bunch of the best sites in a short period of time.

Whale watching was a worth while experience. Did'nt spot any whales but plenty of dolphins. Afternoon tour was great and saw amazing sights. You are on the coach for most of the time and it would have been nice to have a longer time at the sights but a timetable needed to be followed.

Great tour guide for the Golden Circle Tour -- very informative about the sites but also about Iceland and the people. The 1/2 day meant we didn't do a lot of walking at our first stop, but a great visit of Iceland's rugged features and beauty. Whale watching was well run and staff was pleasant. Because I had a 10 year old child and she's short, I did not like that our boat was 90 filled with one tour group and that nobody showed any courtesy to let her see the whales or dolphins. So, I'd like to suggest that staff suggest tall folks give way to shorter folks and that people with cameras in the front row eventually give way to folks in the back. We had great weather and a smooth ride.
